Will Evans - 2010 Scholarship winner

HCC Livestock Scholarship

Do you want to:

  • Improve your business;
  • Travel abroad to visit producers;
  • Learn more about the global industry;
  • Feedback information to other Welsh producers?

Then HCC would like to hear from you.

HCC offers this annual scholarship to applicants who are employed on a full time basis within the Welsh sheep and/or beef industry and who will, in the opinion of the interview panel, be able to make an ongoing contribution to the industry in Wales.

Successful applicants will spend up to six weeks studying the sheep or beef industry in a country of their choice.

Successful scholars must prove, through a selection process, why it would be of benefit to them as individuals and to the Welsh industry in general if they were selected.  They will be expected, on their return, to present details and findings to the Welsh farming industry and also undertake a series of presentations to farmer groups.

Applications for the 2012 Scholarship are now open.
