HCC, in partnership with Farming Connect offers one day of technical advice to assist in the development of identified parts of the agricultural business.

Technical Advice is available for core agricultural activities (production based) in the Beef & Sheep sectors.

Technical Advice does not include; market research, taxation advice, planning, specialist feasibilities etc.

Eligibility for one day technical advice is the same as for the Farm Business Development Plans.

The Technical advice service is accessible for farm businesses that:

• Have received and completed or is receiving a Farm Business Development Plan (FBDP).
• Have registered with Farming Connect and are awaiting an FBDP, but have identified a need for technical advice.
• Have not yet registered for Farming Connect but have identified a need for technical advice.

The technical day can be split into fractions if the piece of work to be delivered can be delivered in this time. This would usually take the form of half or quarter days. Smaller fractions will be impossible to administer.

Group technical consultancy can also be accommodated. The development Centres are in a position to co-ordinate group consultancy.
