Johne's Disease
Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales (HCC) has secured funding, from the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007 - 2013, to provide support to the beef and sheep industry.
As part of this programme HCC can offer funding to Welsh pedigree and commercial beef breeders to test their cattle for Johne's disease. Funding of £4 per animal tested for up to 100 animals is available for one test.
In order to qualify for the funding you will need to be a member of a licensed cattle health scheme such as the PCHS (Premium Cattle Health Scheme) run by the SAC (Scottish Agricultural College), the membership for this scheme is normally £60 but HCC have agreed a discount of 50% for new members to the scheme for a limited period.
If you are interested in obtaining the support please contact HCC on 01970 625050.
