Bryntail became a demonstration farm in January 2009.

A discussion group is running for farmers in the surrounding area with a total of 72 members.

Objectives:

• Improve the overall performance of the flock
  
• Monitor and improve the performance of the herd

Aims:

• To update the cattle handling system in order to reduce time spent on routine jobs
• To reduce the calving period and calving interval
• To increase lambing percentage
• Use Electronic Identification to record and monitor performance of the flock
