This means that only lamb and beef born and reared in Wales, which are fully traceable and have been processed in approved abattoirs, can be labelled Welsh.

The Welsh red meat Industry's quality, food safety and traceability standards are among the most stringent in the world with inspections at all stages of the supply chain.

All this means that consumers can be assured that when they buy Welsh Lamb or Welsh Beef it is meat of the highest standard.
