Food, nutrition and exercise are crucial to our general health and well being.

Red meat is a nutrient dense food. This means it contains a wide variety of nutrients in a relatively small amount of food. Lean red meat is an important part of a balanced diet containing protein, vitamins and minerals that are essential for good health.

HCC seeks to educate consumers and also education and health professionals on the benefits of eating a balanced diet and the role lean red meat can play within a balanced diet. HCC offers a range of free resources and services for health professionals and for  primary and secondary teaching of food within the national curriculum.
